Pitmire Weir Portage Closure – River users are advised that the portage at Pitmire Weir is closed as of 21.09.16 until further notice due to required maintenance work. Click here to read the notice.

Lamarsh Portage Closure – This advised river users that the portage at Lamarsh was closed as of 21.09.146 until further notice due to required maintenance work. Click here to read the out-of-date notice. UPDATE 24.08.17 – The portage has since been repaired and re-opened. Repairs have also been completed on the Nayland downstream portage steps.

Fallen trees, overgrown areas and debris – Issued 10.05.17 and advises river users that fallen trees, overgrown areas and debris represent a navigation hazard on the reaches downstream at Lamarsh/Daws Hall, Pitmire, Wiston, Nayland & Stratford St Mary. Click here to view full details on the Advisory Navigation Notice. UPDATE 28.09.17 – Tree works and vegetation clearance for above areas completed but there is a fallen tree at Bures Mill and further storms predicted this winter so river users are to exercise extreme caution. Langham Upstream Portage Closure – Issued 21.09.17 and advises that the upstream portage is in need of repair. Click here to read the full notice.
