River users are requested to report any further hazards that are not listed above via the Environment Agency (EA) Incident Reporting Line anytime on 0800 80 70 60.
31.05.18 – River Flow & Levels – Please be aware that from 31 May until further notice that flows in the River Stour will reduce significantly as the water transfer, via the Ely Ouse to Essex Transfer Scheme (EOETS) is reduced from 85 megalitres per day (Ml/d) to 25 Ml/d (a 55 Ml/d reduction or the equivalent of 22 Olympic sized swimming pools of water less per day). 13.03.18 – Boxted Mill Fallen Tree – Report of fallen trees approximately 500m downstream, fallen from river left but blocking the channel Click here to read the notice.
25.01.18 – Downstream Nayland Road Tunnel – Fallen tree blocking navigation although portage around the obstruction is possible from river let bank. River users to exercise extreme caution and not process if in any doubt for their safety. Click here to read the notice.
