Victoriana theme in 2009
This event is usually held annually in September at Sudbury to coincide with the anniversary of Great Cornard Lock. Boaters are invited to decorate their boats with lights to join the River Stour Trust’s trip boats in an evening procession.
We have incorporated a theme into previous events and all participants are invited to enjoy refreshments back at The Granary.
The illuminated procession can be viewed en route from various riverside locations and these are usually Mayor’s Walk (opposite the Granary), the old railway bridge and Friar’s Meadow.
