River Stour Trust-40th Anniversary Year.

The River Stour Trust is a registered charity and was set up in 1968 to protect and enhance the right of the public to navigate the River Stour, which is one of the longest and most beautiful rivers in East Anglia.

Lengthsman Cruise Finishers 2008 Since its formation, the Trust has undertaken many restoration projects including the current restoration of Stratford St Mary Lock. We organise regular river based activities. The Trust has its headquarters at the Granary in Sudbury and runs a Visitor and Education Centre in Gt Cornard. It also owns two electric powered launches which give public trips. Trusty II is based at Flatford and Rosette is based at Sudbury, together with a disabled access pontoon boat Francis J also based at Sudbury.
