Please approach these areas with caution and take notice of signage and instructions.

The Environment Agency are carrying out the following improvement works on the River Stour:

  • Various canoe portage works at Bures Mill, Henny, Flatford lock, Langham Flumes and Wiston Weir (February-May)
  • Great Cornard sluice (4 March-25 May)
  • Cattawade Bridge (18-22 March)

For any other information about the above works, please contact the River Inspector, Mervyn Day on 07889 111829.

Essex & Suffolk Water are carrying out essential works on River Stour at Langham from 27 May (scheduled for completion by the end of September). This improvement work will safeguard water supplies for future generations.
