Sudbury to the Sea

2009 Report

302 craft registered this year and there were a lot of new faces amongst the 'regulars'. Our volunteers devote a lot of time and effort before and during the event to make it an enjoyable experience for all involved so we are always very pleased to hear from those that took part:

"Thank you for a superbly organised weekend...much enjoyed...best weekend I've had in ages...it was so well organised and everyone was so helpful and friendly...so lucky to have such a beautiful river...see you again next year!"

One of this year's participants was seventeen year old student, Tommy Zalucki, who has edited two hours worth of footage of his S2C journey (completed documentary is approximately a 1 hour total running time). Tommy hopes "lots of people who took part in the event will see it and also those who didn't take part will be persuaded by what this lovely river has to offer. With any luck, 2010 will build on an incredibly well organised and enjoyable weekend down the river."
